We're marching because nature and the real animals of the world are already suffering from Global Warming. For example, did you know that the snow on top of Mount Kilimanjaro (pictured here behind Simon the Hippo and Peep the Bird) will, at current trends, all be gone by the year 2020? This rapid change is expected to harm local species and threaten their survival.
Another cause for alarm is in the Arctic where polar bears are drowning due to the lack of ice. Though they can swim up to 60 miles without stopping, polar bears are succumbing to exhaustion as the destinations they swim to are literally disappearing.
