Planet Earth, our home, this tiny speck in the vast universe, needs our one collective voice to speak out. We must stop global warming. Governments have procrastinated and industries have scoffed in the face of decades of warnings from scientists, climatoligists, and public policy reformers. So, it is up to us, we the people who say, "Enough." Enough profiteering by the oil industry while the atmosphere warms, seas rise, and hurricanes become more plentiful and powerful. Enough arrogant disdain of accountability, enough neglect of stewardship. We humans are stewards of all that lives on this planet. We must demand better of ourselves and our leaders. Wind and solar power and hydrogen fuel cells, viable and proven alternative energy sources, don't pollute and don't contribute to global warming. Their time has come. Our time has come to take responsibility for all who share our planet -- from plankton to elephants to redwood trees to humans. Please join the thousands of virtual marchers who are sending a clear, unequivocal message that now is the time to address the global warming crisis. Help us become millions of virtual marchers. Global warming is not a natural phenomenon that will run its course and self-correct. As I write a 22nd named storm is forming in the Caribbean. Read what the many sponsors and marchers have written at stopglobalwaming.org, and join those who have committed themselves to the preservation of planet Earth, our home.
